Thanks for your message it’s nice to have opinions of the blog even in the case of constructive criticism, because then we get an idea on how our blog is viewed widely.

In response to your comments, firstly we understand how you may perceive the blog to be ‘racist’ in that by focusing soley on one type of skin tone it ignores every other skin tone.

Now you made reference to wouldn’t we be mad if there was a blog about only about white women and how beautiful they are, and the answer is no, because the blog you speak of is actually the world we live in.

Dark skin girls recieve little to next to no love in terms of glorification of their beauty in the mainstream media, and we could have easily made a beauty blog of all types of skin tones including dark skin girls but the focus on only dark skin girls emphasises the point that dark skin girls are beautiful more than a blog of all skin tones would.

And your thoughts imply that we’re saying that every other skin tone is no good, which is far from the point, because we stress a lot of the time that dark skin girls are beautiful too! which means every other skin tone is already perceived as beautiful without a question.

By making this blog we’ve seen how many insecure dark skin girls there are. Many of these girls are are shown beautiful women of different skin tones to their own every day, and just to see a blog that showcases their skin tone in a positive way helps to boost just a little bit of self confidence, and that alone raises any doubt that your thoughts of the blog being a negative one is entirely in our opinion not withstanding.

Saying that everyone is entitled to their opinion and we appreciate yours despite having to disagree with you.
